Scope and legal bases

This privacy policy applies to movalanche.com, its language versions and its tools. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies in particular. Where the European Union General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal data to take steps before entering into and to perform contracts, to meet legal obligations and on the basis of legitimate interests in operating this website securely, economically and in a user-friendly manner.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. We process only the data required for the relevant purpose.

Hosting and technical log data

This website is provided by Vercel Inc. in the United States. When you access it, technical data such as your IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, referrer, browser, operating system and device information may be processed in server logs. This processing is necessary to deliver the website and maintain its stability, security and error analysis.

We do not maintain our own database of visitor profiles. Technical log data is retained in accordance with the hosting provider's rules and only for as long as required for operation, security or legal obligations.

Vercel Web Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand in aggregated form which pages are visited and from which devices or regions visits originate. This may include the page address, referrer, approximate region, device type, browser and operating system.

According to the provider, Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not store an IP address that would allow us to identify a person. A visitor value derived from the request is discarded daily. We do not use advertising profiles or cross-site tracking.

Quote requests, callbacks and contact by email

If you use the quote form, callback route or email, we process the contact, business and project details you provide. These may include your name, email address, phone number, availability, industry, goals, technical starting point, capacity, Customer Lifetime Value, budget range, free-text messages and the page from which you entered. Almost all project questions can be skipped.

We use these details solely to answer your enquiry, ask focused questions and, where applicable, prepare or perform an offer or contract. If you complete the detailed question route and provide an email address, we also use it to send the announced voucher. Form requests are transmitted through Resend to our business mailbox and are not stored in a separate enquiry database. Our mailbox is provided by Titan.

Website checklist

When you request the website checklist, we process your email address and selected language. Through Resend, a service provided by Plus Five Five Inc. in the United States, we send you the requested PDF, the announced bonus and an internal notification about the request.

Your address is not added to a newsletter list and is not used for regular marketing emails. For delivery, Resend processes in particular the recipient address, message content, sending time and technical delivery information.

Website cost calculator

When you request an offer through the cost calculator, we process your calculator answers, the price range recalculated on the server, your selected language and the contact and project details from the quote form. These details are validated on the server and sent through Resend to our business mailbox. If you provide an email address, you also receive the estimate and the announced bonus by email.

The data is used solely for the requested estimate, the announced bonus, preparation of a specific offer and answering your enquiry. No decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated means.

Website check with Google PageSpeed Insights

When you use the website check, the public web address you enter is sent to the PageSpeed Insights API operated by Google LLC in the United States. Google retrieves the specified page and returns technical performance and SEO scores. We do not store the result in our own database.

Enter only publicly accessible web addresses. Do not use addresses containing names, login details, personal tokens or other confidential information. Technical request details may appear in logs held by Vercel and Google.

Cookies, local storage and fonts

This website currently sets no marketing or analytics cookies of its own. To return from a project page to the previous scroll position, your browser's session storage is used temporarily. This information remains on your device and is removed after returning or, at the latest, when the browser session ends.

The fonts used by the website are delivered together with the site. Reading a page therefore does not create a connection to Google Fonts.

Recipients and international data transfers

We disclose personal data only where required for the purposes described, where we have a legal obligation or where you have consented. Recipients include Vercel for hosting and web analytics, Titan for the business mailbox, Resend for automated email delivery and Google for the website check.

These services may process data in the United States and through additional subprocessors outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area. We rely on recognised adequacy arrangements, contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other safeguards provided by law for these transfers.

Retention periods

We normally delete contact and offer enquiries that do not result in an engagement no later than twelve months after the last exchange. You may request earlier deletion at any time unless legal obligations or overriding legitimate grounds require continued retention.

Documents required for a contract, accounting, evidence of services or the defence of claims are retained for the applicable statutory periods. Technical service providers may additionally retain data for their documented security, delivery and evidence obligations.

Your rights

Within the scope of applicable data protection law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, delivery of certain data and object to processing. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

Send your request to the email address given above. To prevent unauthorised disclosure, we may ask for appropriate proof of identity. People in Switzerland may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. People in the European Economic Area may contact their competent data protection supervisory authority.

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and unauthorised disclosure. Website traffic is encrypted using HTTPS. However, completely risk-free transmission or storage cannot be guaranteed.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy when our processing activities, service providers or legal requirements change. The version published on this website at the relevant time applies.
